Irwin C. Nidea Jr. is a Senior Associate of Du-Baladad & Associates (BDB Law). He is an economist-lawyer and has been in practice on the field of taxation for almost 6 years.

Before joining BDB Law, Irwin worked as a tax manager doing tax advisory and compliance work in one of the major accounting firms in the country, Punongbayan &Araullo (P&A).

At BDB Law, Irwin handles tax litigation involving assessments and claims for refund of various local and multinational clients. He regularly appears before the regular courts, Court of Tax Appeals and the Supreme Court. Irwin also handles administrative protests and claims for refunds before administrative bodies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Department of Finance, the Bureau of Local Government Finance and the different local government units.

As a senior associate, Irwin addressed queries on tax and other corporate concerns; handled various tax planning; prepared transfer pricing reports; assisted clients in availing of incentives, tax treaty benefits, requests for rulings; handled registration, restructuring and dissolution cases and other requirements for doing business in the Philippines; and conducted research on tax issues affecting individual and corporate taxpayers.

Early in his career, Irwin worked as an associate in the law firm of Roco Kapunan Migallos Perez & Luna where he handled litigation and corporate law cases.
